Hazards/Landslides (MapServer)

View In:   ArcGIS JavaScript   ArcGIS Online Map Viewer   ArcGIS Earth   ArcGIS Pro

Service Description: This layer was compiled by Dan Sturmer and Rachel Micander from NBMG and USGS maps in 2020. The target was for landslide deposits that covered >1 square km, though some of the deposits included are smaller. The landslide deposits resulted from a variety of failure mechanisms, including rock avalanches, rotational slumps, gravity slide blocks, and caldera collapse breccias. Landslides range in age from Cretaceous to Holocene. Data collected for each landslide are available in the attribute table and pop-ups in the web application. The layer will be periodically updated. If you see errors or a landslide deposit that is missing, please contact Dan Sturmer (Daniel.Sturmer@uc.edu). Acknowledgment is made to the donors of the American Chemical Society Petroleum Research Fund for support of this research (ACS-PRF #58626-DNI8 to Sturmer).
